Connecting your QuickBooks is safe

Here’s exactly what happens when you authorize access — and how your data is protected.

The connection is temporary, and your data is only read

When you click “Connect QuickBooks,” you’re taken directly to Intuit’s own secure authorization page — the same flow used by thousands of accounting apps. Sajentic never sees your QuickBooks password. Intuit grants accounting access as a single permission — its authorization screen offers no read-only option — but Sajentic only ever reads: it pulls the reports it needs and never creates, edits, or deletes anything in your books.

The access token issued by Intuit is encrypted before it is ever stored and is held only for the duration of the review.

Your data is deleted after the review

As soon as the analysis completes, Sajentic revokes the access token with Intuit and deletes the raw financial data pulled for the review — automatically, with a daily safety-net job as a backstop and a short retention window as the outer limit. What’s kept is only the derived result — the health report that your accountant reviews — not the underlying source data. Sajentic does not retain ongoing access to your QuickBooks after the session ends.

Encrypted at rest and isolated

Your data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, an industry-standard encryption scheme, and travels over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. Each CPA firm’s data is stored in isolation — one firm cannot access another’s data under any condition.

You never create an account and are never charged

As the business owner whose books are being reviewed, you are not a Sajentic user. You don’t create an account, you don’t have login credentials on this platform, and you are never billed. You are simply sharing a one-time snapshot of your books with the CPA firm that invited you so they can complete your books review.
